Day 10 - Full day in Split

After the final breakfast on the ship, I'm packed and out of my cabin by 8:30. They are kind enough to let me stay up on the sundeck till noon and use the ship's power and wifi. No more wine, but I get more work done that way anyhow.

Then a short walk to the hotel which is in the old city. They let me check in early.

I end up staying in all day, in air conditioning and away from crowds. There is a complimentary bottle of wine, and I brought one myself. I also have some Zone bars remaining which I haven't touched while on the boat. Have to save some for the return trip, but suffices for today's meals as well.

I haven't really paid much attention to my sore hip all this time, but now at the end of the trip I decided to check what it actually looks like. Yep, this will be here for a while. A full-on hematoma. I google it just to see what I need to look out for. No skin necrosis, good. Other than that not much to do other than wait for it to go away.

The hotel window overlooks someone's rooftop patio. Pretty cool setup in the middle of an ancient city.

I spend most of the day working but in the evening go to check out the last item on the list here - the cellars. On the way down, the hotel stairs are cool.

A small portion of the cellars are accessible freely during the day and house a lot of touristy shops. The rest are a several euro (5?) fee to enter. More than worth it. All this was built two millenia ago.

An amazing trip overall. I have learned a lot, and it's all connected to the many things I am doing. Hard to ask for anything more.
